Types of wood

Wood has technical properties that make it a widely used material. It is a material that can withstand large amounts of weight, can be shaped the way we want, is resistant to time, and has great elasticity and strength.

The choice of wood from which your table will be made, with or without epoxy, depends on several factors. Probably in the first place comes the aesthetics, ie which texture of wood you like the most and how it will fit into the overall interior design of the space. Also, it depends on the quality of the wood itself and what you expect from it when it comes to its maintenance.

Check the characteristics of the wood from which our tables are made:

  • Walnut - walnut is solid wood with a dense and homogeneous grain structure, resistant to impact and cracks. It is the only wood with a deep dark brown color, sometimes with purple tones, and can be polished to a very smooth surface which in combination with its characteristic growth rings gives it a truly luxurious look.
  • Oak - there are two attractive shades of oak: light yellowish and reddish. It has narrow yellowish-white spots, and the middle of the tree is medium to dark brown. The wood is very strong, tough, and difficult to process, but because of that, the oak products are durable and have a high aesthetic value and durability.
  • Olive - visually, the olive tree has an incredibly rich and colorful look with contrasting brown lines and yellow stripes, making it perfect for use in decorative items. Olive wood, in addition to its rustic appearance, is also very resistant to temperature changes, resistant to moisture, and deformation. During processing, it releases a specific, pleasant, and sweet smell that usually remains present in the products for several years.
  • Cherry - Cherry wood is characterized by high hardness, it is easy to process, it is smooth and easy to polish, due to which the objects made of this material have a perfectly smooth shiny surface. It is characterized by a gentle and warm reddish/pink color, and throughout history, cherry wood has been used to make high-quality pieces of furniture that adorn the palaces and homes of wealthy people.
  • A special type of aspen - soft wood, easy to process, which with the final layer of epoxy resin or special hard oils, gets excellent strength, gets all the properties of a luxurious long-lasting table that is easy to maintain, and has a highly aesthetic appearance. Characteristic for this type of wood are the dark knots, the sparkling texture with spherical bumps, and the pearly light yellow color that is obtained after processing the wood. The more the tree is decorated with these "irregularities", the more it is appreciated and gained beauty. On the other hand, it is this curvature and intertwining that gives the texture density and greater resistance to wood splitting. Due to its uniqueness, the tables of this specific type of aspen have grown into a real trend and are one of the most demanded and exclusive models in Treelogy.
